Susan Elaine Fisher

GALAX, Va. – God gained another angel, Susan Elaine Fisher, 54, of Wytheville, Va., lost her battle to cancer on Sunday, May 28, 2023, in the Waddell Nursing and Rehab Center in Galax, Va.

Susan was born on Jan. 3, 1969, in Middlesex, N.J. She attended Livermore Falls schools and was a 1988 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. While being a single parent she graduated college in 2003 from Mid-State college in Auburn with an associate in medical assisting.

Our mother was a loving person, and an amazing woman. She loved nothing more than being a mother, and Mimi to her grand babies. She loved having a career in the medical field where she was able to connect and help people on a daily basis. She was the type of person who was always down to jump in the car and go on an adventure. Everyone who knew her knew how kind and generous she was. She put everyone above herself and would do anything she could to help others. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. We will miss you mom.

She is survived by her two sons Dillon Fisher of Wytheville, Va. and Gavin Fisher of Barrington, N.H., daughters-in-law Keana Greenwood and Emily Stone; sisters Julie Fisher, Lisa Fisher, and Misty Wahl; and grandchildren Whyatt, Reuben, Reanna, Ava, and Peyton. She was predeceased by her mother Celia Cook and her father Wade Fisher.

A celebration of life will be held for family and friends at the Farmington Elks Lodge, 120 School Street, West Farmington, Maine 04992, on Sunday, June 25, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine.
