CANTON, N.Y.  — Five local graduates were among the more than 550 members of St. Lawrence University’s class of 2023 who took part in the university’s May 21 commencement ceremonies.

Cam Ghadfa of Denmark majored in art and art history. Ghadfa attended Fryeburg Academy.

Aidan Hagerty of Fryeburg majored in conservation biology. Hagerty attended Kennett High School.

Maddy Mercier of Lewiston majored in multifield bachelor of arts. Mercier attended Lewiston High School.

Derek Metivier of Lewiston majored in economics. Metivier attended Lewiston High School.

Julia Sirois of Rumford majored in conservation biology. Sirois attended Greely High School.
