John “Jack” Henry Dubuc

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. –

John “Jack” Henry Dubuc, 76, formerly of Minot, passed away May 4, 2023, with his children by his side.

Jack was born Dec. 26, 1946 in Nashua, N.H. He grew up in Auburn, attending E.L.H.S., graduating in 1965. Jack enlisted in the Marines (1966-1970) and served in Vietnam as a helicopter crew chief. Jack was very proud of his military service.

He married Carolyn (Clark) Dubuc and had two children, John Eric Dubuc and Jennifer (Dubuc) Swift. He was a gifted swimmer and skier, becoming a ski instructor. Jack loved the outdoors and took his family to Moosehead Lake every summer. His interests were fishing, riding his Harleys, listening to music and was an avid animal lover, always having his golden retriever and cat nearby. He moved to Mount Pleasant,S.C. 10 years ago, near his daughter.

Jack will be remembered by his deep voice, contagious laugh and always saying “it is what it is”.

Jack was predeceased by his parents Raymond and Constance Dubuc; and his ex-wife, Carolyn.

He will be greatly missed by his son, John Eric Dubuc of South Portland, his daughter, Jennifer Swift and son-in-law Aaron Swift of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; his grandchildren Brady and Trevor Swift of South Carolina and Nathaniel and Samuel Dubuc of Windham; his siblings Robert, James, Sandra and Susan.

A service will be held on Monday July 10 at 1 p.m. at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St. in Auburn.
