Debbie Mae (Gamache) Merrill

LEWISTON – Debbie Mae (Gamache) Merrill, 71, passed away June 10, 2023 at the Woodlands Memory Care Center.

She was born to Romeo and Cecile (Michaud) Gamache on Dec. 28, 1951 in Lisbon. She graduated from Lisbon High School in 1969.

For many years Debbie was employed at Northeast and Fleet Banks. She also volunteered at St. Mary’s Hospital. Debbie was a member of the Lisbon Grange and enjoyed sailing, NASCAR racing, her cats and camping with all of her family. Debbie married Thomas Merrill and they resided in Lewiston.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Thomas Merrill; her sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Ron Starbird, her brother, Lee and wife, Linda Gamache; and one son, Brian Ryerson; her three grandchildren, Kristen and husband Joe, Kaitlyn and Trenton, two stepchildren, Christina and Michael; and four step-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents Romeo and Cecile Gamache; her sister, Sandra, who passed on May 20; and her nephew, Rudy Albert II.

Visitation will be held on June 24 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Funeral Alternatives, 25 Tampa St., Lewiston where a service will follow at 11 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to http://www.funeralalternatives.net
