Little Wings 2019

BETHEL — BAAM at The Gem is excited to welcome back the band Little Wings to Bethel on Wednesday, June 28 at 7 p.m. Little Wings was one of the first BAAM at The Gem performances back in September of 2021. It was an intimate and creative show that any music lover would enjoy.

Kyle Field is a visual artist and the songwriter behind the over-twenty-year-old group Little Wings. Over the course of more than a dozen albums, he has written a classic cannon of songs that continues to gain listenership to this day.

Working without the help of powerful record companies, the songs have earned their place viscerally, person by person, creating a cherished and loyal following around the world. Little Wings continues to release records at an incredible clip and shows no signs of slowing, the songs keep growing. Nat Baldwin, a bassist, improviser, and songwriter, joins Kyle.

Baldwin is a former member of the band Dirty Projectors and has appeared on albums from Vampire Weekend and Grizzly Bear. Peter McLaughlin accompanies them on drums. McLaughlin has played more than 600 shows across North America, Europe, and Asia over the past decade, with bands such as Lina Tullgren, Jacob Augustine, Lisa/Liza, Lady Lamb, The Casco Bay Tummlers, and many more.

He runs a small record label called Pretty Purgatory out of Portland, Maine. Doors open at 6 p.m., show at 7 p.m. More information about Little Wings can be found at: http://www.littlewingsnow.com/.
