NORWAY — The N. C. C. Ladies’ Golf Association is happy to announce they are planning for their 10th Annual Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament on August 10 at Norway Country Club. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine. This 501c3 non-profit, located at 59 Winter Street in Norway, serves anyone impacted by cancer in the Oxford Hills and surrounding communities, including Bridgton and Rumford. The CRCofWM offers free in-person and virtual programs, classes, support groups, travel and food assistance, as well as a variety of comfort items. This fundraising event includes a ladies’ 18-hole scramble,
basket raffle, and silent auction.

Members of the NCCLA will be asking friends and businesses in the Oxford Hills and surrounding area for monetary donations and items for their silent auction and raffle. Individuals or businesses may sponsor this tournament by choosing to be a Bronze Sponsor for $250, a Silver Sponsor for $500, or a Gold Sponsor for $1,000. The sponsor’s name will be on a sign near the clubhouse and listed in the program. For $125, a business or individual may be a tee sponsor and have their name posted on a sign at a golf tee. The ladies also collect a variety of items and gift certificates from local restaurants, golf courses, and stores in the area for their silent auction and basket raffle. The public may place bids and purchase raffle tickets the week before the tournament up until the golf tournament begins. All winners will be announced after lunch on that day. There will be a sign-up sheet at the golf course for ladies to sign up or call 807-0226. Please call 807-0226 with questions or interest in making a tax-deductible donation, or email info@crcofwm.org.
