DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston School Nutrition Program is participating in the Summer Food Service Program. Meals are available at no charge to those up to age 18 who are attending school. Meals are the same for all children, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability, and there will be no discrimination in the course of the meal service. All meals must be eaten on-site. Participants are not allowed to remove food from the site location, parks or playgrounds. 

Breakfast and lunch (unless otherwise noted) will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at these sites:

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In response to the question about how to keep deer from eating yard and garden plants, my husband uses Bobbex. We had many plants chewed up, but this stuff helps a lot. We ordered at The Home Depot. Just follow the directions.  — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Bobbex is marketed as eco-friendly and the best deer repellent, determined through an independent study by the Connecticut Department of Forestry & Horticulture during the growing season of 2006-07.
