The Friends of Norway Memorial Library are volunteers whose work supports and enhances the programs and services of the Norway Memorial Library. Their annual membership drive begins in June. This year’s membership theme is “The many ways we continue to grow.” Those who join or renew before August 18, 2023, will be entered into a drawing to win a gift certificate to one of three Maine businesses, Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens in Boothbay, Smedberg’s Farm in Oxford, or Pineland Farms in New Gloucester.
Book sale shoppers park in the public lot on Water Street and use the footbridge to the Gingerbread House. There is no parking available in the Gingerbread House driveway.
Please note that the Friends of the Library are no longer accepting used book donations for these sales. For more information, call the Norway Memorial Library at 743-5309.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
