Gemma

Meet Gemma. Her name comes from Italian, from a word that means ‘precious stone’. Our Gemma is sure precious. More of a jewel than a stone, but it fits. Gemma is about 4 years old, is a sweetie pie, and loves people. She’s about 50 pounds with a great personality and does pretty well on leash. She’s a happy and playful girl. Gemma has some scarring around her neck that is consistent with having had an embedded collar in her past. But she’s only looking to the future. Other dogs are on a case-by-case basis and will require a meet-and-greet.

Call the shelter at 207-743-8679 to learn more about Gemma, or fill out our application at www.responsiblepetcare.org/dogs if you are interested in meeting her. Meetings are by appointment with an approved application.
