Lewiston native Isaiah Harris qualified for the 800-meter final at the U.S. track and field championships in Eugene, Oregon, on Friday.
Harris, who runs professionally for the Brooks Beasts Track Club, placed third in his semifinal heat, running a time of 1 minute, 45.92 seconds to automatically qualify for the final, which is scheduled for Sunday at 9:26 p.m.
Harris is seeking to qualify for the world championships for the first time since 2017.
His semifinal time is a 2.22-second improvement from his first-round time of 1:48.13.
