Greater Lovell Land Trust plans to offer a variety of programs each week this summer, from evening talks to daytime walks. Registration is required for all of these events.

Friday, July 14, 10 a.m.-noon, Boundary Line Maintenance with Surveyor Jon Bliss
Bliss discusses boundary line maintenance and refreshing one’s boundary lines. Meet at parking lot 1 at Heald and Bradley Ponds Reserve, at the far end of Heald Pond Road in Lovell.

Wednesday, July 19, 7-8 p.m., Beyond Sedges Have Edges with Peter Ellison
Ellison, a land trust docent, will discuss Maine sedges and strategies for identification in the field. Meet at Charlotte Hobbs Memorial Library, 227 Main St., Lovell.

Thursday, July 20, 9:30 a.m.-noon, Sedge Sighting Walk with Peter Ellison
Ellison will lead a hunt for sedges in fens and along river banks, trying to key out as many as possible. Close observation will be required, so loupes (hand lenses) and tweezers will be helpful, along with waterproof footwear. The trust has loupes to lend. Once registered, one will be notified a day or two in advance of the walk.

Saturday, July 22, 10 a.m.-noon, Pulpit Rock Trail Blazahs and the Kezar Corridor Lands
ATV trails through the trust’s new Kezar Corridor Lands provide designated routes for summer travel and connections to trail systems on surrounding lands. Join hosts Linda Mercer and Dale McAllister to learn more about the Pulpit Rock Trail Blazahs and how they value this property. Meet at Kezar Corridor Lands, Old Waterford Road, Lovell.

Each Thursday through Aug. 31, the trust offers a free run/walk at different reserves beginning at 5:30 p.m. The registration forms for these can be found at gllt.org.
