BRIDGTON — Duck 1724, which belonged to Adam Kennedy, took first place in Bridgton-Lake Region Rotary Club’s annual Duck Race on July 4.
Kennedy won $500 with a yellow duck that successfully navigated the waterfall jump.
Two others, which distinguished themselves in a field of 2,000 fast-swimming ducks, belonged to Tim Raymond with ticket 1759 ($250 second place), and Lydia Sullivan with ticket 910 ($100 third place).
In its 24th year, this Rotary Club fundraiser for community service activities has been held annually on Stevens Brook on Main Street in Bridgton.
