Karen A. Fortin

AUBURN – Karen A. Fortin, 72, died Sunday July 9, 2023, at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.

Karen was born in Lovell on Dec. 6, 1950, the daughter of Harold and Mildred (Stanley) Thompson Sr. She attended Central Maine Community College and received her associates in nursing. Karen worked as a registered nurse in the local area nursing homes taking care of the elderly. On Oct. 27, 1984, she married Paul R. Fortin.

Karen loved family gatherings, animals especially dogs, traveling and experiencing new places, and she also enjoyed her home.

Karen is survived by her husband Paul; her brothers Edward Thompson, Louie Gagnon, Michel Gagnon, Rocky Thompson, and sister, Mary Mohla.

She was predeceased by her parents Harold and Mildred; and brothers Allen Thompson and Harold Thompson Jr.
