We were surprised with how many correct entries we received for last week’s Mystery Photo on Maple Street in Monmouth. Our winner, picked in a random drawing from all the correct entries, is Kristin Sanborn of Monmouth, who lives just down the street from where the photo was taken. Kristin wrote in her email entry, “The photo is of the Blacksmith Shop on Maple Street in Monmouth. This building is part of the Monmouth Museum. This museum was started by Earle Flanders and is an amazing collection of buildings and items representing the agricultural history and rural life of Monmouth. I grew up visiting these buildings, and my family has donated items to the exhibits over the years. The last Saturday of September, the museum hosts Apple Fest. It is a wonderful event to fundraise for the museum and other local groups.” Sanborn will receive a $25 Hannaford Supermarket gift card for being picked as the winner.
