Randy K. Mason

NORTH TURNER – Randy K. Mason, 67, a lifelong resident of Turner, passed away suddenly, Friday, July 14, 2023, at his home.

He was born March 29, 1956 in Lewiston, the son of Kennard Mason and Mae (Libby) Mason. He was a 1974 graduate of Leavitt Area High School in Turner. On July 21, 1998 at the Presbyterian Church in North Turner, he married Julie Strout of Gray.

Throughout the years Randy worked with his father and brothers at K.L. Mason & Sons sawmill in North Turner. He was a member of United Bikers of Maine. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, gold panning and especially the time spent with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Julie (Strout) Mason of Turner; his sons Josh Mason of Turner, Dan Randall and wife Rebecca of New Gloucester, and Ben Randall of Orono, his daughter, Desorae Mason and companion, Justin Ouellette of Auburn; grandchildren, Parker, Nora and Liam; his sisters Ann Morris and Jean Tucker both of Lewiston, Judy Gallop of Monmouth, Marsha LaPlante of Livermore Falls, Meredith Biggs and her companion Leroy Hiscock of Turner, Margaret Blodgett of Jay and Joanne Keene and her husband Roger of North Turner, brother-in-law, Kenneth Judd, his sister-in-law, Vicky Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents; his brothers Jerald Mason and Robert Mason, his sisters Gayla Judd and Shirley Mahaney, sister-in-law, Rosemarie Mason, his brothers-in-law Henry Mahaney, Millard Morris, Philip Tucker, Dort Biggs, Richard Gallop, and Raoul LaPlante; his niece, Kathy Hanson and his nephew, Scott Mason.
