Ronald E. Martin

LEWISTON – Ronald E. Martin, 72, died Friday, June 23, 2023, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.

Ronald was born on Jan. 22, 1951, in Lewiston, the son of Jacob and Elizabeth (Edwards) Martin. Ronald attended Hebron and Oxford area schools. On Dec. 31, 1969, he married Rose M. Packard. Ronald was a self-employed logger.

Ronald liked to hunt and fish; he also enjoyed his hobby raising beef cows. He loved spending time with family, especially the grandchildren, and hunting and fishing with his brother Jerry and spending time at camp in Jackman and the Allagash.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Rose Martin; daughter, Susan Harvey and her husband John, son, Dean Martin and his wife Dee; grandchildren Ashley Harvey, John Harvey Jr., and Alec Pontoo; along with seven brothers and sisters; and mother-in-law, Janette Packard; and many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Lacey.

He was predeceased by his parents; and two brothers and two sisters; and father-in-law, Hildren Packard.
