James “Jim” N. DeRoche
MONMOUTH – James “Jim” N. DeRoche passed away on July 16, 2023, at the Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn.
He was a long-time resident of North Monmouth. Born in Rumford on May 30, 1942, he was the son of Adria “Peggy” and Norman E. DeRoche. Jim attended Rumford Schools and graduated from Stephens High School.
He married Karen Nathan on Jan. 22, 1966. He worked at Saunders Manufacturing in Readfield until he retired.
In his leisure time, Jim enjoyed baseball, NASCAR, taking drives and visiting Portland Headlight with family.
He was survived by his wife, Karen; daughter, Kristy Howard and husband Maurice, son, James D. DeRoche and wife Alicia; five grandchildren; brother, Glendon DeRoche; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was predeceased by his sister,Sheri Dawson; his parents Norman and Peggy DeRoche; and several aunts and uncles.
The DeRoche Family would like to thank the wonderful nursing staff at the Androscoggin Home Health and Hospice Center and the Androscoggin Hospice House for their loving care of Jim.
In honoring Jim’s wishes there will be no services at this time.
