Barbara Eveyln Vivian

GREENE – Barbara Eveyln Vivian, 95, died on May 29, 2023, in Greene.

Born April 9, 1928, in Manchester, N.H. Daughter of Leroy and Gladys McManus. Married to Harry E. Vivian in Unity, 1946. Moved to New Jersey in 1949. Went to nursing school, worked 37 years in hospital. Volunteered with the ambulance corps and taught EMS college courses. Moved to Greene upon retirement and remained happily married for 56 years, until her husband’s passing. She enjoyed tending to her flower and veg garden, volunteering, and being a doting grandmother to her granddaughters and all her neighbors’ children.

Survived by daughter-in-law Irene Vivian, granddaughter Siobhan Vivian Caruso and Nick Caruso, granddaughter Brenna Vivian Rose and Mike Rose, great-grandchildren Vivian and Marie Caruso and Tommy, Sonny and Fia Rose, and sister-in-law Vira Hayward McManus. Predeceased by her husband, son Harry Brent Vivian and brothers Kempton and Wade McManus.

Internment service Saturday June 5, 2:30 p.m., at Valley Cemetery in Greene.
