Scott W. Tripp

MEXICO – Scott W. Tripp, 45, of Mexico, passed away on July 26, 2023, at the Androscoggin Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. Scott was born in Rumford Maine on Sept. 19, 1977 to Connie Breton and Raymond Tripp. He attended Mountain Valley High School and later White Mountain Community College, where he obtained certification as a welder.

Scott worked as metal fabricator and enjoyed every challenge associated with the job. He spent part of his career working at BIW and had extreme pride building one of the first DDG 1000 destroyers.

Scott loved his wife Beth, his family, friends and looked forward to every opportunity he had with them. The only thing larger than his contagious laugh, was his heart.

Scott also dedicated time towards outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing and had a love for slow-pitch softball.

Scott had an immense passion for his family and was always a source of positivity. Scott’s family and friends will miss him more than words can say.

Scott is survived by his wife Beth, stepchildren, KJ Blodgett III and Trinity Blodgett, and grandstepson Jasper, mother Connie and her husband Victor, father Raymond, brother Mark and his wife Jenn; sister Erika and her companion Richard, brother Christopher and Brother Shawn, nephew Levon, and nieces Jasmine, Kelsey, and Josie

There will be a Celebration of Life at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, 129 Rumford Ave., in Rumford on Aug. 6, 2023, at 11 a.m.
