Gas prices in Maine are creeping up.

According to AAA, the current average for a gallon of regular gas in Maine is $3.78. That’s up about 3 cents from a week ago.

According to GasBuddy, the cheapest gas stations in Maine — Brettun’s Variety and Sunoco in Livermore — were charging $3.32 a gallon around noon Monday while the most expensive was $3.99 a gallon.

Prices in Maine are about 16 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. However, prices in Maine stand about 69 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.

Nationally, the average is $3.82 for a gallon of gas. The national average is up about 28 cents.

According to GasBuddy, the national average price of diesel has risen about 15 cents in the last week and stands at $4.14 per gallon.
