A course, titled “Maine in the 21st Century” will be offered starting Sept. 10 at CMVTI by the Lewiston-Center of the University at Augusta. The course, which will attempt to project what Maine will be like in the year 2000, is scheduled for 7 to 9:30 p.m. Mondays.
25 Years Ago: 1998
Marie Clarke and Margo Simmons, a mother-daughter gardening team, will open their gardens on Dyer Road, Lewiston, to members and friends of the Woman’s Hospital Association of Central Maine Medical Center from 3 to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The perennial gardens will be the setting of a wine and cheese party with a rain date of Wednesday. The WHA is asking for a $5 donation.
