Laurette L. Desaulniers

AUBURN – Laurette L. Desaulniers, 93, of Old Chadbourne Road, Lewiston, died Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Androscoggin Hospice House in Auburn. She was born in Shawinigan Falls, P.Q. Canada Oct. 11,1929. She was the daughter of Joseph and Yvonne Noel Turgeon.

She married Germain Desaulniers on June 25, 1949. She worked side by side on the farm with her husband for 20 years until moving to Biddeford, Maine, where she worked at the Biddeford Textile for 22 years, until she retired to Lewiston.

She is survived by two daughters. Louise Madore and husband Raymond of Lewiston and Gaetane Gonyea and husband Arthur III of Scarborough; four grandchildren Elaine Johnson and husband Aaron, Michelle Chessie and husband Andrew, Nicole Gonyea and Matthew Gonyea; three great grandchildren Gabrielle Chessie, Ayden and Joseph Johnson; two sisters-in-law- Annette Turgeon and Simone Turgeon; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, and all her brothers and sisters, Lorenzo, Noel, Laurier, Noela, Desneiges.

A Funeral Mass will be held Friday August 25, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Church. Burial will be later in Quebec, Canada. Arrangements are under the direction of The Fortin Group Funeral Homes 70 Horton St Lewiston 784-4584.
