ALTOONA, Pa. — Trinity Bean of Gray was crowned National United States Teen at the annual national pageant, held July 31 to Aug. 3 in Hershey, Pennslyvania.

In addition to the national title, Bean won the Top Model, Photogenic, Crown Photogenic, All Star Athlete and Gold President’s Volunteer Service awards, according to a news release from the National United States Scholarship Pageant.

Bean attends Gray-New Gloucester High School and will be entering her senior year this fall. In addition to pageantry, Bean has played soccer since the age of 3. She plays for her hometown GNG Patriots as well as the Maine Lightning Soccer Club. She also works for the Gray Recreation Department as a summer camp counselor.

She is the daughter of Brendon and Sarah Bean of Gray.

Bean will spend her year of service promoting her personal platform, ethical pet ownership, volunteering, and making appearances across her state and the country.

The National United States Scholarship Pageant is a scholarship, community service, and platform-based pageant showcasing the achievements of today’s students and graduates, with an emphasis on developing communication skills, building self-confidence, leadership skills, community involvement, and making a difference.
