Lobster Dinner fundraiser
OTISFIELD — We, the East Otisfield Free Baptist Church (the little church with the big heart), are excited that our annual Lobster Dinner is back, on September 9! You can choose a Lobster or BBQ Chicken as your main course, served with corn on the cob, cole slaw, rolls, and blueberry cake for dessert. Seating times 4.30 and 5:30 p.m., by advanced ticket purchase only. Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased by calling Maryanne Hill at 310-8056 or by email at [email protected]. Donations raised go to our Deacons Fund, which is dedicated to helping people in need in our community, (i.e., energy bills, medical bills. housing, food, clothing). The event will be held, rain or shine at; East Otisfield Free Baptist Church, 231 Rayville Road in Otisfield. See you all there!
Summer BBQ Picnic
CASCO — The Casco Village Church, United Church of Christ is hosting our ‘Summer BBQ Picnic Supper’ on Saturday, August 26 from 4:30-6 p.m. This month’s dinner will feature chicken & pork, burgers, hot dogs, baked beans, veggies, watermelon, and ice cream sundaes! Saco Valley Gem & Mineral Club Annual Show and Auction
AREA — Come to the Saco Valley Gem & Mineral Club Annual Show and Auction on Saturday & Sunday, Sept 2 and 3, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. in the Craft Center at Fryeburg Fairgrounds. Fine Gem and Mineral vendors, crystals, Cabachons, and jewelry. Demos, door prizes, raffles, games, and kids’ fun activities. The Fabulous Auction on Sunday starts at 1:30. Fall Sale at Congregational Church of East Sumner
SUMNER — On September 16, the Congregational Church of East Sumner, will have its 14th Annual Fall Sale on the lawn, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Church will be offering a large Barn Sale, frozen chicken pies, baked goods, raffle items (including a truckload of loam), breakfast sandwiches, and a Beanhole Bean Lunch. Bagpipes will be played from about 8:30-9. Proceeds from Church sales benefit the work of the Church. There will also be about 20 local crafters selling a variety of goods, along with a book sale from the Zadoc Long Free Library. The Church is located at 50 Main Street, Rte. 219, and is handicapped accessible. For more information, call Cyndy at 388-2667.
