The Gray Literary club will have a picnic next Wednesday at the home of Mrs. Stanley Favor at South Gray.
50 Years Ago: 1973
The United Methodist Women of Calvary United Methodist Church, with their husbands as guests, enjoyed an outing this week at the cottage of Mr. and Mrs. Irving Grant at Monmouth. A potluck supper was served and the evening was spent formally. About 20 were present.
25 Years Ago: 1998
The Children’s Museum of Maine will offer a new program, “Dance, Drama and Fantasy Play,” from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday for children ages 3 and 4. The museum is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. General admission is $5; camera obscura, $3; combined, $6; under 1, free.
