Kenneth H. Record

NORWAY – Kenneth H. Record, 85, of Norway passed away on Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Stephens Memorial Hospital. He was born at home in Oxford on Jan. 10, 1938, a son of Howard and Leona (Paine) Record.

He worked as a pipefitter for Grinnell for most of his working years.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, and honey bee keeping. He loved to take his kids, grandkids and great grandkids fishing, ice fishing and hunting. He was the State of Maine Weight Lifting Champion for his weight group when he was a younger man. He told stories of his life and his family’s life to anyone that would listen.

He was married to Lorraine A. (Durgin) Record for 64 years. They had four children: Gerald Record and Dondi (Bates) Record, Cherri (Record)Cumberledge and Gary Cumberledge, Terrence Record and Tina (Ouellette) Record and Carri (Babe)(Record) Pelletier and Alvey Pelletier; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. He was the oldest brother of Eugene Record, Elton Record, Merle Record and Vern Record all of Oxford.

He was predeceased by his parents; and sisters Gwendolyn and Glenna.
