LEWISTON — Save A Lot, a discount grocery chain, has completed extensive renovations of its store at 10 East Ave. and will hold a grand reopening Friday.

Owners said the store will offer customers a lighter, brighter and easier-to-shop footprint that includes new décor, fresh interior and exterior paint and new signs. The store will give away a bag of groceries to the first 100 customers Friday.

“I am thrilled to bring much-needed upgrades to the Lewiston Save A Lot store and enhance local residents’ shopping experiences the moment they step foot inside,” store manager Toby Rose said in a news release. “The newly minted store provides a modern aesthetic and an easier-to-shop footprint. . . . We’ve been a part of the Lewiston community for over 25 years and are honored to show our appreciation to our customers with this special event.”

The store is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Customers can learn more at savealot.com.
