DEAR SUN SPOTS: Will the Knights of Columbus have a spaghetti supper in September for Coats for Kids at Holy Family Church Hall in Lewiston?

I have been buying 10 meals (for almost 10 years) and someone brings them to Hope Haven Gospel Mission. I would like to continue to do this, but the phone number I have is no longer for the contact person I used to talk to. — Rick, no town

ANSWER: There is absolutely going to be a spaghetti supper! It will take place Saturday, Sept. 16, in the church hall at 607 Sabattus St. from 4-6 p.m.

Folks can dine in or get takeout. The cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children under 10. There are no advance sales. For more information, call Bob at 207-402-0003.

For those who don’t know, the long-running Coats for Kids program has the main goal of keeping children warm in the winter by distributing coats so they can comfortably get to school, play outside, be part of their community and have a sense of belonging.

Thank you to everyone who contributes by volunteering at the supper, distributing coats and donating.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: As we plan features for the fall, we’re wondering if you attended your class reunion this year.

Did you reconnect with a high school sweetheart or your best friend from seventh grade? Did you hit it off with a classmate you never knew all that well back in the day? Did that geeky guy grow up to be super cool? Or did that awkward girl with the loud laugh turn out to be someone you really want to know better?

We’d love to highlight the experiences of readers who attended 2023 class reunions for a story in the Sun Journal’s Sunday feature section.
