BETHEL — Mainely Provisions has added online ordering at their supermarket on Main Street in Bethel.

Manager Ben Christopher said they have already received many orders with good feedback on those orders.

The store, formerly Bethel Foodliner,  was sold to Joe Christopher of Scarborough, (Ben’s uncle) and re-opened on Fri. July 21.

Designated parking spots for online orders are the first two after the handicapped space at the front of the parking lot. After ordering from home, customers call when they arrive and a staff person comes out to the parking lot with the order. Customers are allowed to tip the staff person.

Local provisions on the shelves at the store are from Abbott’s Family Farm, Wandering Root Farm, Middle Intervale Farm, Swain Family Farm, Carver’s Maple Syrup and Greenwood Coffee.

Christopher said he has had conversations with other local farms about prepping for next year. “It’s great to see the teamwork and communication between all these farms in supporting the local community and each other with great food that’s so close to home,” he said.
