Join author Amy Neswald to discuss her most recent book, “I Know You Love Me, Too,” 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17, at the Denmark Arts Center. Newswald describes her book, which is a New American Fiction Prize Winner, as a “novel-in-stories about sisterhood, grief, and discovering one’s true self through the accidents of life.”

Eight years apart, half-sisters Ingrid and Kate suffer the loss of their shared father when Ingrid is twenty and Kate only twelve. As they negotiate their uncertain sisterhood, Ingrid struggles with her artistic identity and love life while the hairline cracks expand in Kate’s seemingly perfect world. I Know You Love Me, Too follows Ingrid and Kate as they investigate the mysteries left by their father and the riddles posed by their own lives.
Neswald is a fiction writer and screenwriter. Her work has appeared in The Rumpus, The Normal School, Bat City Review, and Green Mountain Review, among others. Her debut novel-in-stories “I Know You Love Me, Too,” is a recipient of the New American Fiction Prize and a finalist for a Maine Literary Award. Her short film “Solitaire” is a semi-finalist for the Beverly Hills Arthouse Film Festival. Prior to moving to Maine, she had a long career as a wigmaster for Broadway shows. She teaches creative writing at the University of Maine in Farmington and continues working on her next novel and a collection of short films.
