Diocese to hold annulment presentation at Jay church Sept. 19

The Diocese of Portland’s Office of the Tribunal plans to hold a presentation and lead discussion on the annulment process in the Catholic Church at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church St. in Jay.

All are welcome to the gatherings, which will include question and answer periods as well as the opportunity to speak privately to a canonist.

The Office of the Tribunal, part of the Department of Canonical Services in the Diocese of Portland, handles cases and trials that are subject to the Catholic Church’s canon law, which is the code of ecclesiastical laws governing the church, according to a news release from the Diocese.
