Robert C. Libby
DIXFIELD – Robert C. Libby, 66, of Dixfield, received his wings on Sept. 10, 2023, at his home with his wife Rose (White) Libby holding his hand and Birdie Rocray by his side. He fought like a warrior to the end, battling several years of heart disease.
Rob was born Dec. 9, 1956, in Bangor, the son of Hobart and Eleanor Libby. He was a 1976 graduate of Old Town High School. He took several college courses and thrived in everything he did. He loved the outdoors and had too many hobbies, God Bless Him! He loved his music and guitars; he was known as the “Harp Man” and loved his harmonica.
Rob was married in Peru in 2005 to Rose White who survives of Dixfield. Other survivors, his amazing daughters Tiffany Kersey and husband Erik of Mexico, Tasha Calden and husband Chad of Peru; granddaughters Madilyn Kersey, Brielle Calden a grandson, Blake Calden. He also treasured every moment with all of you. Family was everything to him. He is also survived by brothers David Libby and wife Tammy Allen of Milford, Eric Libby and wife Lisa of Garland, Kirk Libby of Old Town, sister, Susie Cleary and husband Bill of Old Town, sister-in-law, Susan Libby and husband Mark of Bradford.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, Mark Libby; and daughter, Tabitha Libby.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday Oct. 7, from 12 p.m. on, at his home on 65 Holt Hill Rd. in Dixfield. It will be potluck and BYOB, tents and campers are welcome but need RSVP with Tiffany at 207-418-0901 or Tasha 207-357-4608 or through their Facebook page. Arrangements are under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St., Rumford.
