BETHEL — After serving Western Mainers at 16 Church Street in Bethel for the past 8 years, the Bethel Area Food Pantry has both relocated and rejoined the, long closed, District Exchange. The local nonprofit purchased the building at 279 Walkers Mills Road, thanks to crucial Federal and private grants.
“It is an amazing moment to finally have both our food pantry and clothing exchange under one roof,” says Dave Bean, Executive Director of the 501C3 nonprofit. Both the District Exchange and the Food Pantry are open every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday from 9-11 a.m.
The Bethel Area District Exchange & Food Pantry has been feeding and clothing Western Mainers for 32 years and is committed to expanded support of Oxford County Maine and beyond.
