Paul R. Edmunds

WATERFORD – Paul R. Edmunds, 64, of Waterford passed away on Monday, Sept. 11, 2023 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Lewiston on Oct. 24, 1958, the son of Richard and Helen Edmunds.

As a young boy he most enjoyed spending time with his grandparents Arvo and Gladys Neimi at their vegetable farm in South Waterford. He attended Oxford Hills High School where he enjoyed playing several sports, with basketball being his favorite. He graduated in 1977 and married his lifelong love, Belinda J. Kilponen, in 1978. They raised four boys in South Waterford where he enjoyed sports, hunting, fishing and other outdoor activities.

His love of sports brought him to coaching and reffing Waterford youth sports for many years. He was a mentor and teacher for his own kids and many others. Up until his last days he could still be found cheering on his grandkids at many Oxford Hills games. He also very much enjoyed spending time with his closest friends who he considered family. Both those he met through coaching as well as those he connected with through outdoor sportsman activities.

He leaves behind his wife, Belinda Edmunds; his sons Timothy Edmunds of South Paris, Eric Edmunds and partner Katie Marcotte of Otisfield, Kerry Edmunds and partner Nicole Couture of Turner and Jason Edmunds and partner Jess Berube of South Paris; grandchildren, Troy, Chase, Abby, Jaslyn, Olivia and Journee; his siblings Brian of Oxford, Raymond of Casco and Jeff of New Hampshire; many cousins; aunts; nieces, nephews; and many others he considered family.

He was predeceased by Richard Edmunds of South Paris and Helen Edmunds of Oxford.
