AUBURN – Wayne W. Kerr, 76, of 10 Patton St., Auburn, died at his home on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2023.
Born in Rumford on Feb. 13, 1947, he was the son of William B. and Gloria P. Hutchinson Kerr. Wayne lived in Auburn for most of his adult life, and worked for the Nezinscott Guild in Turner and at the Lewiston bus station as a janitor.
A member of the Midtown Club, he enjoyed playing Lucky Seven, going to Old Orchard Beach, riding the train to Boston, Mass., fireworks, and seeing Cinderella at Disney World.
He also loved shopping at the outlet stores and L.L.Bean in Freeport, always stopping for a lobster roll on the way home. His favorite holiday was Christmas, and he loved the songs and carols, but especially loved giving gifts to and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, and will be greatly missed.
Wayne is survived by three sisters, Donna Kerr and companion Robby Lovell of Mexico, Susan and husband George Lavoie of Rumford, and Sharon and husband, Chuck Rabon of Buckfield, a brother, Bruce Kerr of Dexter; an aunt, Verna Scott of Yarmouth; and his friend and longtime caregiver, Theresa Rodriguez of Auburn.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Greg Kerr, and a sister, Barbarta Newton.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date, Gracelawn Memorial Park, Auburn. Arrangements are under the care of Albert and Burpee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201.
