AURORA, N.Y. — Oxford Hills graduate Abby Hanson scored a pair of goals to help pace University of Maine at Farmington past Wells College 5-0 in a North Atlantic Conference field hockey game Saturday.

Winter Adams finished off an assist from Lindsey Boisvert to open the scoring for the Beavers (2-7, 2-1 NAC) in the second quarter. Hanson scored unassisted just over two minutes later to double the lead, which stood at halftime.

Hanson then struck again in the third quarter, off an assist from Gabby Vincentsen, to make it 3-0. Vincentsen scored her own goal, with Spruce Mountain grad Paris Howes providing the assist, less than five minutes later.

Elizabeth Kendall scored from Bayley Casavant for the Beavers’ final goal in the fourth quarter.

Ella Grant needed to make just one save to secure the shutout for UMaine-Farmington. Sadie Combs made five saves for the Express (0-8, 0-2 NAC).

BATES 2, TRINITY 1, OT: Former St. Dom’s standout Anna Cote scored in overtime to give the Bobcats (4-2, 2-2 NESCAC) a win over the Bantams (5-4, 1-4 NESCAC) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Anna Lindeis gave Bates a 1-0 lead and Molly Griffin had the assist.

Katrina Winfield tied the game for Trinity, with Maeve Hymovitz recording the assist.

Kali Jacobsen made four saves for Bates and Olivia McMichael had 15 for Trinity.

WOMEN’S SOCCER
TRINITY 1, BATES 0: Gabby Grattan scored the lone goal in the 84th minute, giving the Bantams (3-2-3, 1-1-2 NESCAC) a win over the Bobcats (3-2-3, 1-1-2 NECAC) in Hartford, Connecticut.

Mariana Cournoyer made three saves for Trinity, while Ruby Reimann stopped eight shots for Bates.

USM 6, UMF 0: Riley Reitchel, Catriona Gould and Julia McKenna each tallied two goals to power the Huskies (9-0-1) past the Beavers (3-6-1) in Gorham.

Gould and McKenna added assists, as did Eliza Roy for University of Southern Maine.

Oak Hill grad Paige Gonya made 13 saves for UMaine-Farmington, and Emilee Crocker added two more while finishing the game in goal for the Beavers. Breanna Atwood made one save for the Huskies.

MEN’S SOCCER
TRINITY 2, BATES 1: Nick Bellak scored twice for the Bantams (2-4-2, 1-3-2 NECAC) in a come-from-behind win over the Bobcats (2-6-0, 0-5-0 NESCAC) in Hartford, Connecticut.

James Donaldson and Jordan McCammon had assists.

Mauro Kalaora gave Bates a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute. Harry Corman had the assist.

Nate Dyott made three saves for Trinity and Trevor Hammond had nine saves in the losing effort.

CMCC 5, ACPHS 0: Brothers Ivan and Igor Domingues each scored two goals in the Mustangs’ win over the Panthers in Auburn.

Ivan Domingues opened the scoring before Igor added his two goals before the end of the first half. Ivan assisted on Igor’s first goal. Ivan added his second goal to make it 4-0 in the second half. Lisbon grad Justin Violette capped the scoring, with an assist from Emmanuel Kalala. David Nzuzi also notched an assist for Central Maine Community College.

Arnaud Nyagasaza made eight saves, and Poland grad Davin Cloutier played the 22:28 to help secure the shutout for the Mustangs. Ryan Herrick made 15 saves for Albany College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
