BETHEL — Members of the Western Mountains Senior College ventured out last week for a field trip to the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The group received a guided tour of the museum and learned about the history of country music in Maine and the hundreds of Maine musicians who influenced the genre throughout the state, country, and around the world. The tour was followed by a live musical performance by Hall of Fame Inductees, Ken and Jane Brooks. The Maine Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is located at 272 Lewiston Street in Mechanic Falls. Located in the lower level of the Silver Spur Dance Club, the 3000-square foot space spotlights over 150 Hall of Fame inductees and showcases thousands of artifacts including instruments, costumes, photos, recordings, and more.
