Roger C. DeCoster
TURNER – Roger C. DeCoster, 80, of Turner, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2023, at home with his loving family by his side. He was born Nov. 18, 1942, in Lewiston, son of Harold and Flora (Parsons) DeCoster.
Roger graduated from Leavitt Institute. After dating his darling Melina, they were married in April 1966. Soon after he joined the reserves and served his country with honor as a medic. He worked for his brother Jack his entire life, managing the feed mill and as a truck driver.
His greatest joy was spending time with his loving wife of 57 years, Melina (Wade) and his family.
Roger was predeceased by his parents, Harold and Flora DeCoster; his sisters Betty Gibbs, and Nan Lincoln, along with their husbands; and his beloved dog, Flossi.
Survivors include his wife, Melina; four children, Tracy Andrews and husband George, Wendy Ellis and husband Gerard, Kimberly DeCoster and significant other Shawn Jacobs, and Roger H. DeCoster; 10 grandchildren, Kristin (husband Greg), Ruth, Lydia, Joy, Melody, Emily, Garrett, Dalton, Taylor, Madison; one great-grandchild, Ellie, and one expected soon; his brother, Austin “Jack” DeCoster and wife Patti.
The service will be held on Monday, Oct. 9 at the Calvary Baptist Church, 20 N Main St., Turner, from 10 to 12 p.m. and the funeral service at 12 p.m. The burial will take place at Riverhill Cemetery in Turner.
