Jeremy Dix

AUBURN – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jeremy Dix, a beloved son, husband, father, and friend to many. Jeremy, at the age of 36, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at Hospice House in Auburn after a 12-year battle against brain cancer. His spirit, faith, determination, and thirst for life inspired all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jeremy was a devoted family man, finding endless joy in the love he shared with his wife Abby, and their two beautiful children, Genevieve and James. His love for them knew no bounds, and his presence will forever be missed, but his spirit will continue to live on in their hearts.

Among Jeremy’s many passions, fishing was a treasured pastime that he shared with his family, creating cherished memories by the water’s edge. Whether it be lake, deep sea, or ice fishing, he loved it all. He also found camaraderie and competition in disc golf with his brother, forming an unbreakable bond through the sport they loved.

Jeremy also loved his New England sports. He loved to cheer on the Nordiques at the Colisee, and passed that love down to his daughter Genevieve. Jeremy was known for his enthusiastic cheers, particularly his signature yell of “sieve” to the opposing goalie.

Jeremy’s faith was the cornerstone of his life, providing him with strength, solace, and an unwavering sense of purpose. He lived his beliefs with grace, demonstrating kindness and compassion to all he encountered. This was abundantly seen in his years of work as an occupational therapist at St. Mary’s Hospital in Lewiston and as his role of “Baby Whisperer” at his church’s nursery.

Jeremy’s memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. His legacy will continue to inspire us all to live with the same courage, love, and faith that defined his remarkable journey.

Jeremy is survived by his wife Abby Dix of Lewiston, two children, Genevieve and James Dix, parents Jim and Joline Dix of Lewiston, brother Jason Dix and girlfriend Jaye Baillargeon, mother and father-in-law, Dan and Jamie Bosse of Lewiston, sister and brother-in-law, Andrea and Rick Libby of Lewiston, niece Dorothy Libby, and so many loving and supportive aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

We find solace in knowing Jeremy has been welcomed to heaven by his maternal grandparents, Clement and Suzanne Berube, paternal grandparents, Raymond and Ziranna Dix, close friends, Casey Lasell and Keith Seltzer, and uncle and fellow Gray Matters fighter Mike Brochu.

May Jeremy rest in peace and watch over us, knowing he was deeply loved and will be forever missed.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 15, at 1 p.m., at Grace Community Church on Turner St. in Auburn, where we will come together to celebrate Jeremy’s life and legacy. There will also be a visitation at Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home on Saturday, October 14, from 2- 4 p.m.

Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023. Online condolences and sharing of memories may be expressed at http://www.lynchbrothers.com.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Dempsey Center or Dana Farber Cancer Institute.
