How would you manage the school budget? Allocate more funds to schools or pull back spending? Why?

Superintendent Cornelia Brown has done a great job communicating the budget process and I intend to follow her example of fiscal responsibility going forward. We need to pay the teachers what they’re worth and provide a world-class education for our students.

Do you believe student safety is a priority and would you support initiatives that address safety issues?

Absolutely. In this day and age, we need to be proactive and work together to keep the students and staff safe.

Do you believe students’ social emotional needs are being met in schools? What could be done differently?

This needs improvement but I believe we are on the right track. I believe that by maintaining the course we are on we will continue to show gains.

Do you believe parents and community members have adequate access to the committee members at meetings or through other methods to express concerns and frustrations?

Yes, I do.
