The cat situation at the shelter is still serious. If you are thinking of adding a feline companion to your home, please consider adopting. Stop by the shelter Friday through Sunday 12-4 to see the wide variety of cats needing homes. We have all ages, colors, sizes, and personalities.
We’re starting off today with a bonded pair: Aristocat (gray) and Colin Furth (black) have been at the shelter for over a year. They have been fighting a cold for a bit and their vet has declared them ‘chronically snotty’, so they will go home with medication for the near future. These 7-year-old boys are bonded and have so much love and so many snuggles to give. They also love all their other cat friends. They are the sweetest boys you’ll ever meet! Stop in and fall in love with this special pair.
Sassy Pants
Sassy Pants is a beautiful 1-1/2-year-old who is very sweet, but on her own terms. She lives up to her name, though she prefers not to wear pants. She’d like an adult home with no other pets where she can be queen of the house. Sassy Pants would like some capable staff at her new home, so apply to be her servant. She will reward you by doling out affection as it suits her fancy. And you will clamor for every bit.
Visit the shelter during our open hours to meet these and all our other adoptable cats and kittens. The shelter is located at 9 Swallow Road in Paris and is open for general visits or cat adoptions on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from noon to 4 p.m. (Other days by appointment; dog visits are always by appointment). Responsible Pet Care of Oxford Hills is a no-kill, non-profit shelter and adoption center for cats and dogs, and the holding area for stray dogs for 12 towns in Oxford County.
Responsible Pet Care operates a thrift shop called Pawsibilities. It is located at 132 Waterford Road in Norway and the store hours are Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All the money raised at Pawsibilities supports RPC.
