No Guts, No Glory, now a five piece band, will play at 8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at Mixers Nightclub & Lounge in Sabattus. The band brings a high energy show filled with classic rock from the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s. There is no cover charge on Friday. And The Smith Collective will pay homage to legendary blues/rock powerhouse Janis Joplin starting at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14. The band is adding a full horn section for this performance – Jeff Chipman on keys, Pete Richard on baritone sax, Bruce Couillard on tenor sax and Michelle Boggs on trumpet – showcasing an eight-piece band to recreate Janis’ Woodstock set in 1969 and her highly acclaimed album “Pearl.” There is $10 cover at the door on Saturday. Doors open at 6 p.m. and there is plenty of free parking. Mixers is located at 136 Sabattus Rd., Sabattus.
