NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank is pleased to announce the recent promotion of three employees; Ryan Dillingham, Frank Farrell, and Melissa Rock.

Ryan Dillingham, Vice President, Information Technology Manager

Ryan Dillingham of Norway has been promoted to Vice President, Information Technology Manager. Ryan started his career at Norway Savings Bank in 2007, as IT Help Desk Support before quickly moving through the ranks in the department, consistently exceeding expectations in each of the roles. Ryan holds several technical designations including Certified Virtualization Expert, Certified Ethical Hacker, and Certified AWS Cloud SysOps Administrator, and continues to advance his leadership skills in and outside of the Bank. In his new role as a Vice President Information Technology Manager, Ryan will take on more responsibility and leadership in the oversight of technology operations and personnel management.  He will play an active role in strategic planning, budgeting, project management, future infrastructure implementations, and IT vendor relationship management.

Frank Farrell, Vice President, Information Systems Manager

Frank Farrell of Minot, has been promoted to Vice President, Information Systems Manager. Frank joined the Bank in 2013 as a Software Support Specialist in the IT department. His extensive background, education, and IT experience, allowed Frank to quickly acclimate to the IT team and related responsibilities. Since day one, Frank has demonstrated a commitment to superior customer service and operational excellence as a member of the IT Network team. He’s embraced every new challenge as an opportunity and demonstrated a natural ability to lead, which supported his growth in the department. Frank holds a BS degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Southern Maine along with several professional certifications including, CompTIA A+ and Network +, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator, VMWare Certified Professional, and Certified Virtualization Professional, and is a LabTech Certified Professional. As Vice President and Information Systems Manager, Frank will continue to manage mainframe operations, expand his oversight of critical information systems applications, including database servers and related architectures, assist in strategic planning, budgeting, and project management, and will be a key player in vendor management.

Melissa Rock, Vice President, Marketing Director

Melissa Rock of Bridgton has been promoted to Vice President, Marketing Director. Melissa joined Norway Savings in 2017 as the VP, Marketing Communications Officer. Her prior experience in community banking included leading roles in corporate communications, client experience, and community impact. At Norway, in addition to focusing on marketing and communications, Melissa led the Bank’s Digital Delivery Team for five years, helping to ensure our customers are provided with a great digital banking experience. Melissa is a Certified Financial Marketing Professional and recently graduated with honors from the New England School of Financial Studies. In her new role, Melissa will oversee the overall management of the Bank’s marketing and brand strategies. Melissa will work closely with Karen Hakala, who currently serves as the Senior Vice President, Senior Marketing Officer, as she prepares for retirement in 2025 after a 28-year career with the Bank.
