WEST PARIS — The First Universalist Church of West Paris is planning a dessert pie fundraiser just in time for Thanksgiving. We are not having our in-person chicken pie supper again this year; the dessert pie sale began three years ago and because of its success we’re holding it again!

The annual week-before-Thanksgiving chicken pie supper has taken place for over 100 years and it is hoped we will be able to renew the tradition once again. In the meantime, in addition to the dessert pie sale, we will also have a chicken pie fundraiser in January or February – a little winter comfort food.

Those interested in purchasing a dessert pie(s) can call or email their order to Marta Clements by Wednesday, November 15, at 207-674-2143, mclements96894@roadrunner.com. Pies can be picked up on Wednesday, November 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church, 208 Main St. in W. Paris. The price is $15 per pie, and the selection includes apple, pumpkin, blueberry, and rhubarb, if you have another preferred pie in mind, please let Marta know.
