To the Editor:

I want to invite Woodstock residents to come to a special town meeting on Wednesday, October 25 at 6 p.m. at the Woodstock Town Office. The Town will be asked to purchase the Tim Mills property, located on Echo Lane, off Rumford Ave.

This property connects the Woodstock Elementary School with the trails on Buck’s Ledge and Lapham Ledge. No taxpayer money is needed for this purchase. Buying this property extends the Buck’s Ledge Community Forest to Rumford Avenue and permanently secures the trail access and additional wetlands.

And thanks to Ed Rosenberg and everyone who participated in the second annual Buck’s Ledge Community Forest Day. It was great to celebrate the work of the Woodstock Highway Department with the road improvements.

This will allow people with disability plates access further into the property. The plan is to build a Trail for All in the summer of 2024.
