Joseph Paul St. Pierre

AUBURN – Joseph Paul St. Pierre, 86, of Oxford, passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2023 with family by his side.

Paul was born on Aug. 26, 1937, the son of Leo and Cecile St. Pierre in Lewiston. In his early years he attended Catholic school, then went on to play football and hockey for Lewiston High School, and was a member of the graduating class of 1954. After his graduation he went on to serve honorably in the United States Army from 1954 to 1957 in the Korean Conflict.

After leaving the military, Paul worked for the IBEW as a master electrician and spent 12 years at Pine Tree Electric (a company he co-founded). On Dec. 26, 1959 he married Rachel Tardif and together they raised four children: Denis, Michael, Cynthia, and Marsha. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Ransom Church and Sacred Heart Church in Auburn.

Paul is survived by his wife, Rachel; son, Denis and wife Therese, son, Michael and fiancé Dyen, daughter, Cynthia, daughter, Marsha and husband Sofian; 11 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Paul will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.

The family invites you to visitation on Wednesday Oct. 25 from 4 to 7 p.m. and Oct. 26 from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at The Fortin Group, 217 Turner St., Auburn. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Oct. 26 at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Sacred Heart Place, Auburn, followed by a committal service at St. Peter’s Cemetery, 31 Deer Rd., Lewiston.
