Henry Erlon Bryant Jr.

CANTON – Henry Erlon Bryant, Jr., 79, of Jay, passed away Monday, Oct. 23, 2023 at Pinnacle Health and Rehab in Canton, with his family by his side.

He was born June 18, 1944, in Livermore Falls, the son of Henry E. Bryant, Sr. and Pearl (Burnham) Bryant. He attended school in Jay. Henry worked at the Otis Mill, he owned and operated Henry’s Auto Body for many years and served as a selectman for the Town of Jay.

Henry loved working on his woodlots and felt at home in the woods. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and racing cars.

He is survived by his daughters Heidi Conant and husband Dennis of Canton, Gina Mitchell and husband Paul of Ft. Myers, Fla., Tara Gallagher (Gerry) of Livermore; grandchildren, Tristan Franchetti, Kaicey Conant, Freedom Lovewell (Garett), Zane Capen, Oren Capen, Eli Capen (Hope), Jo-El Mitchell, Daniela Mitchell, Gabriella Mitchell, Robyn Smith (Kat) Alexii West (Tony), Kaitlyn Collins (Dylan), Kelsye Smith and Tucker Gallagher; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Blaine Bryant and wife Merilee of Westbrook, and Wayne Wuori and wife Lana of Pikeville, N.C., and brother-in-law, Stanley Wuori of Lakeland, Fla.

He was predeceased by his parents; infant daughter, Corrina; his sister, Donna Wuori; and stepfather, Taisto Wuori.

The family would like to thank the staff at Pinnacle Health and Rehab for the care and compassion that they provided for Henry and for making him feel at home. He said “They are awful good to me here”.

A graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 26 at Jay Hill Cemetery, Cemetery Road, Jay. Arrangements by Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church St., Livermore Falls.
