The Lewiston Public Library Children’s Department plans to offer a Prehistoric Dinovember Party for children and families.
The event is set for 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 29, in Callahan Hall on the third floor of the 200 Lisbon St. library.
During this program, children can engage in a variety of hands-on activities featuring dinosaurs. Some of the activities include a fossil dig, hatching dinosaurs from baking soda eggs, and decorating dinosaur lanterns to take home, according to a news release from the library.
The program is free, all materials will be provided, and there is no registration required.
Children younger than 8 must be supervised by a caregiver.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
