Blanche A. Cook

AUBURN – Blanche A. Cook, 78, of Oxford, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023 at Bolster Heights in Auburn.

She was born in Lewiston on June 16, 1945, a daughter of the late Ernest and Cecile (Gagne) Robinson. She grew up in the Riverside area and was educated in local schools.

She married Rand Cook in 1962 and they spent 60 wonderful years together. At a younger age, Blanche worked at a shoe factory and then an apple orchard until staying home with her children. She will always be remembered for her love of spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, shopping, going to church and her cats. She will be sadly missed by many.

She is survived by her daughters Cindy Watson and husband Ed, Sally Wood and husband Will, Penny Redmond and husband Patrick and Christina Bartlett and husband Sean, her son, Scott Cook and wife Donna; her sisters Rose of Chicago, Ill. and Ashley of Mechanic Falls; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Rand, in 2022; and her son, Randy.

A service will be held at the Hosanna Church in Oxford, 109 School House Rd., on Saturday Nov. 4 at 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Buckfield Village Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Albert and Burpee Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 253 Pine St., Lewiston, 782-7201.
