Mahoosuc Land Trust of Bethel, the Shelburne Trails Club of Shelburne, New Hampshire, and national partner, The Conservation Fund, will host a celebration of a newly completed three-mile hiking trail network on Sunday, Nov. 5, on the Shelburne Riverlands State Line Forest.

Coffee and pastries will be offered at 10 a.m. at the Shelburne, N.H. Town Hall at 74 Village Road, with a short presentation on the Riverlands that includes a brief description of the individual properties and MLT’s management strategies developed by local Shelburne stewards. Next, all will drive to the trail-head for led hikes of different lengths starting about 11 a.m. The famous Shelburne Trail llamas, Nikki and Kate, will lead one of the hikes and children are welcome to help with wrangling the llamas, according to a news release from Mahoosuc Land Trust.

Although not required, organizers would appreciate an RSVP to ShelburneTrails@gmail.com for food planning.
